Game 7, Snakes vs Phanatics
Game 7
The Texas Rangers and the Houston Astros just concluded game seven of their series. The Rangers got off to a hot start in the game, crushing three runs off starting pitcher Cristian Javier. He was only able to record one out before being taken out of the contest.
The Rangers pitched great, holding the former champions to only four runs, however, the main star for the Rangers was outfielder Adolis Garcia. He went 4-5 with five RBI’s and posted two home runs to a phenomenal statline. They will get an extra day of rest before playing either the Philadelphia Phillies or Arizona Diamondbacks.
Snakes vs Phanatics
The Phillies are looking to hold the Diamondbacks one more time at Citizens Bank Park. Last night (Oct. 23), the Diamondbacks handed the Phanatics their first loss at home during the playoffs. Phillies’ number two pitcher, Aaron Nola, struggled with command. He kept leaving pitches down the middle of the plate and the Snakes made him pay by putting up four runs off of him.
Tommy Pham, who was benched for game five of the series, hit a blast over the left field wall to put the first run up of the game. From that point on, they didn’t look back. They kept the Phillies offense to just one run. Expect a fight to the finish in the last game of this series.
Some key players to highlight on your scorecard are Ketel Marte of the Diamondbacks and Kyle Schwarber of the Phillies. Marte has a 15 game hit streak in the playoffs, which is tied for the most of all-time. Whenever Schwarber gets a hit in the Postseason, it seems to magically fly out over the right field wall. ‘Schwarbomb’ also reached 20 Postseason home runs in just 63 games, the quickest of all time.
