Welcome to “Campus Snippets” and happy Student Worker Appreciation week! This column will be the place to go to get details of the events at Messiah, all in one place. First up, we have Student Worker Appreciation Week. Throughout this week, Student Workers have been entered in a raffle and names have been drawn for various prizes. The prizes have ranged from an Owala water bottle to a record player, and so much more. Falcons had to be on the lookout in their emails to see who won each afternoon.
This week was also the time to sign up for Spotify Glass Art with SAB. If you were one of the lucky people to have signed up on the 14th, then make sure you’re in the Jordan Lounge on the 23rd from 6-8pm!
Speaking of SAB, be sure to vote on Instagram for the Student Choice Lost Film that will be shown May 2nd and 3rd! The movies left are The Greatest Showman, Legally Blonde, The Princess Bride, The Truman Show, Mean Girls, the Prince of Egypt, and The Notebook. If these are any of your favorites (or least favorites) make sure to vote now in the next round!
After Spring Break, there will be another SAB event for the Harrisburg Senators! The event will occur on the 25th at 7pm and costs $10. Make sure to sign up if you’re interested by the 21st!
On the 24th, The Social Work Topics class is having an Immigration Simulation in the Boyer Atrium. If you’d like to learn about the “modern day immigrant experience”, join them from 1:30-3:30!
