The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix happened this weekend, and some changes happened in the championship as a result. For one, both Williams finished in the points. Carlos Sainz (Williams) and Alex Albon (Williams) worked together to score points for both themselves and Isack Hadjar (VCARB). There were barely any DNFs or flags throughout the race. Funnily enough, one of the balconies had a little red light that Oscar Piastri (McLaren) said kept tricking him into thinking it was a red flag.

As for the podium, Piastri got first place while Max Verstappen (Red Bull) finished in second. Verstappen was a little annoyed at a penalty given to him he didn’t think he deserved. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) got his first 2025 podium, and he and the team were very happy with his result.

Lando Norris (McLaren) also had a very good race, despite crashing in qualifying the day before. He started in 10th and made his way up to 4th, even leading the race for a couple laps.

Piastri is now leading the championship for the first time in his F1 career. He sounded much more excited on the team radio than he did after winning Bahrain last week. The way things are going, many believe he could take the World Drivers’ Championship title this year.

The only two DNFs were Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull) and Pierre Gasly (Alpine), who collided with each other on the first lap. Aside from that, the race was mostly clean — just a few bumps and scrapes between drivers further down the pack.

Overall, it was a pretty uneventful race. There did not seem to be any further issues with the graphics like there were in Bahrain. Many fans are hoping Miami brings more drama — as it did last year. Perhaps it will bring another maiden win, like it did for Norris last year.
