It’s your second semester of year, and all you want is for summer to roll around. Here are some tips on how you can stay motivated for a few more weeks.
Surround yourself with people who will encourage you and decorate your walls with quotes that push you in all the right ways.
Make a collage of your goals and put it somewhere you can easily see it. It doesn’t have to be big or extravagant, it just has to be right for you.
Sometimes, all you need is to see someone else working hard to get yourself started. Vloggers like Lilly Singh are great sources of motivation to get you through the week.
Print out encouraging pictures to leave them for yourself as you flip through textbooks and planners.
Blast some music and dance! You might just need a break to motivate you.
Crossing small things off a list can be more motivating than you realize, like staying awake in chapel.
Give yourself a pep talk in the mirror. Stare at pictures of your goal. At the end of the day, you’re the best person to motivate yourself.
Petting a cute dog might motivate you enough to work hard to afford a dog of your own in the future.
Plan a movie night with friends, a trip to Baker’s, a date with your S.O., or even a quiet night just by yourself. Think of it as a reward for completing everything on your list this week.
Nothing feels better than crossing something off a list. If this is the only thing that can get you through the semester, make a big deal about it. Get a giant marker to cross off each week as it passes and watch as you get closer to the end. You’ve got this!
