Looking for something fun to do after classes on a Friday afternoon? Well, look no further! If you love music (and I mean, who doesn’t?) stop by The Pulse tomorrow from 3:30-6:00 p.m. as we celebrate College Radio Day! With over 30 countries participating worldwide, this is one day where all of college and high school radio stations can come together to promote radio and increase listenership. Founded in 1989, Pulse FM has been a way for students to learn and express themselves through music…or just have a really good time DJing. With a huge variety of DJs this semester, tuning in to 90.7 will always be a great time. If that wasn’t enough to convince you to stop by, here are a few additional reasons why you should:
1) Tommorrow, Pulse FM is hosting a special live broadcast featuring four of Messiah’s own DJs!
From indie music to international Korean music, Pulse DJs will be hosting their own half-hour shows from 3:30-5:30 p.m. If you love music and being introduced to new artists, this is a perfect time to tune in and get a glimpse of what will continue to be played on the Pulse this semester. You can either tune in online on the Pulse’s website or find a radio and tune in to 90.7! Either way, grab a friend and jam out for a solid two hours of awesome and diverse music!
2) Come and see what opportunities there are for you to get involved with radio.
Are you interested in radio? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. The Pulse is always looking for new DJs and other interested students who want to help out or start their own show. Right now, Pulse FM is also looking for people who are interested in recording liners for general airplay during the day. So basically, you could come in, record a little promo, and be on the radio at random times during the week. How cool is that? You could tune in and hear your voice and be like:
