How did you get started with Young Life?
The organization I want to work with after college is called Club Beyond, which was started by Young Life and Youth for Christ. I thought that was pretty cool. I happened to run across a flyer on campus that advertised Young Life so I looked into it, got in contact with a few people I knew were a part of it, and decided to take all the training classes for it.
What’s your favorite thing about being a Young Life leader?
It would be working on a team. It’s really cool to work with a teacher who’s been doing it for 30 years and then work with kids your age that have a different perspective on ministry and how to minister to kids. It’s just awesome.
What’s your worst school related nightmare?
It’s never really happened to me, but it would be having a super big test but your alarm doesn’t go off and you end up completely skipping it and getting a zero.
If you could describe yourself as an animal, what would you be and why?
Probably a koala bear. I like to sleep a lot, and eat, and just chill. That’s me.
What’s your favorite restaurant in the area?
Chipotle—I’d never had Chipotle until I came to Messiah.
