There’s a certain chill in the air that can only mean one thing—fall is here! With the change in season, it’s time for a change in fun.

Try something pumpkin spice flavored

If you’ve never had a pumpkin spice latte, they’re worth trying at least once. However, if coffee isn’t what you’re looking for, an influx of other pumpkin spice flavored products has landed in grocery stores for the season. You can get trail mix, cream cheese, cereal, tortilla chips, and even pasta sauce that feature this popular flavor.

Carve pumpkins

This is a traditional but oh-so fun fall activity. Pick your own at a local pumpkin patch or pick one up at a farm stand or grocery store and get to work.

Make a fall dessert

Apple pie, pumpkin roll, and maple pecan cookies are just a few festive classics that you can share with the people around you to get into the spirit of the season.

Go hiking or camping

Enjoy the crisp fall air and changing leaves while spending time with your friends. Make sure you wear layers!

Watch a fall movie

When Harry Met Sally. You’ve Got Mail. Rudy. Animal House. Good Will Hunting. Autumn in New York. There are so many quality movies that are set in the autumn season. Also, check out the Hallmark channel for feel good, if slightly cheesy, fall-themed movies.

Decorate your dorm/apartment

The Target dollar section is great if you’re short on time and money. If you are looking for something more hands-on, Pinterest can be a great place to get ideas for crafts you can make. A leaf wreath or autumn-inspired Mason jar could be the perfect touch to help get your living space ready for the season.

Go to a football game

Just because Messiah doesn’t have a football team doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the fun of going to a game. You could keep it simple and visit a local high school game on a Friday night or you could venture to another college.

Go thrift shopping for flannels
