The break is over and spring semester is in full-swing. Syllabus week is mostly a ten-minute read-through of class objectives and conduct before diving into the subject. Wednesday’s snow day brought a surprising break to the school week. Here’s what you may have missed in all the hustle and bustle.

Saturday, February 3 – Men’s Volleyball

The men’s volleyball team defeated the Misericordia Cougars. They took their first Mid Atlantic Conference win, putting them at 1-0 in the conference. The Falcons swept the Cougars 3-0.

Tuesday, February 6 – Student Leadership Fair

A leadership fair was held Tuesday morning for students interested in having a leadership position in various groups and clubs around campus for the 2018-2019 school year. Groups such as SGA, SAB and the Pulse were represented. If you missed the fair and would like to get involved, contact the various groups for more information.

Wednesday, February 8 – Games postponed

The inclement weather on Wednesday caused sports games to be postponed. The men’s volleyball match at Wilkes was rescheduled for Thursday, and the men and women’s basketball games against Widener were postponed to Thursday as well.

Beyond Messiah

The Philadelphia Eagles took home their first Lombardi trophy Sunday night after defeating the New England Patriots. The game stayed close throughout its entirety, and the Eagles kept their lead up until the end when the Patriots got ahead. The Eagles pushed their way back to the lead shortly after and kept it until time ran out. They took their sweet victory against Tom Brady with their back-up quarterback Nick Foles.
