Women’s basketball advanced to the Sweet Sixteen on Saturday. Here’s what you may have missed:
Women’s Basketball hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament over the weekend.
On Friday night, the women downed Hilbert College 71-60. Maci Thornton and Alecia Rohrer both contributed 16 points. Thornton also led the team with 10 assists.
The next day, the Falcons defeated the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets 64-51 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. Thornton scored a team-high 22 points.
Men’s Lacrosse lost to Elizabethtown College 12-11 on Saturday. Joseph Franken recorded four goals and three assists.
Women’s Lacrosse matched up against Dickinson College Wednesday, but ultimately fell 12-9. Amanda Wadsworth recorded a hat trick in the loss.
In their home opener, the women fell to Franklin & Marshall 16-6. McKenna Edwards (3), Abby Howard, Annika Johnsen, and Jojo King each scored in the match.
Men’s Volleyball lost to Stevenson University 3-1 (27-25, 11-25, 17-25, 15-25) early in the week. Noah Shreiner recorded 10 kills, two aces and one block in the loss.
In their tri-match Saturday, the men fell to Arcadia 3-1 (25-22, 15-25, 14-25, 15-25). However, the team shut-out Elizabethtown College in the following game 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-17).
Baseball split their doubleheader against Marymount University on Saturday. The men dropped the first game 3-1, but bounced back the second game winning 3-2.
Men’s Track and Field: Benjamin Schott, Alex Scheib, Matthew Royer and Tyler McFeaters completed the distance medley relay with a time of 10:09.83.
Women’s Track and Field: Maddison Landis, Ellissa Slader, Leanne Weaver and Esther Seeland competed in the distance medley relay finishing with a time of 11:53.6 which broke the previous record by 17 seconds.
