National Championship matches and games were in full swing last week. Here’s what you may have missed:

Wrestling: Josiah Gehr, Victor DeFrance, Brian Shermeyer and Stephen Maloney competed at the NCAA Division III National Championships on Friday. Both Gehr and DeFrance advanced to the evening sessions, however Gehr lost to Wabash’s Carlos Champagne and DeFrance lost in the consolation bracket.

Women’s Track and Field: Taylor Wiederrecht and Esther Seeland finished the weekend as All-Americans after competing in the NCAA Division III Championships.

Women’s Basketball fell to Tufts University 55-41 in the Sweet Sixteen. Maci Thornton led the team with 20 points. The Falcons finished their season with a 28-2 record.

Men’s Lacrosse lost to Franklin & Marshall 21-16 over the weekend, moving their overall record to 2-3.

Softball played their first two games since the middle of February. Traveling to Greensboro College for a doubleheader, the team lost 9-0 and 3-0.

Women’s Lacrosse took on the No. 2 team in the nation, Mary Washington, on Saturday. The teams went into halftime tied at six, but the Falcons would ultimately fall 21-9.

Men’s Volleyball shutout Wilson College 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 37-35) early in the week. Will Webb led the team registering 11 kills, four blocks and two aces. The third set also became the longest set in program history.

On Saturday, the Falcons lost to Rutgers-Newark 3-1 (12-25, 14-25, 25-14, 22-25). Brad Nase recorded 23 assists and five kills in the loss.

Baseball defeated Eastern Mennonite University 13-7 on Thursday. Kyle Wickenheiser, Hunter Brindle and Josh Hayner each recorded two-run home runs.
