Welcome to the awkward point in the semester between breaks. If you’re feeling in a slump and need a pick-me-up, try one of the activities here.

Read The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.
A classic among children’s literature, this story is perhaps the most popular of the seven-book series. This book follows the four Pevensie children, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, as they step into the magical world of Narnia. There, they find a land frozen in winter for many years and ruled by the White Witch. When rumors of a prophecy spread in Narnia, the Pevensie children are thrown into an adventure they never expected to have.

Listen to i’m so tired by Troye Sivan and Lauv.
With Ring by Spring slowly coming true and seeing couples enjoying the warming weather together, love can be a little annoying. Troye Sivan agrees, with a song in which he talks about being tired of love songs after the end of a relationship. The frustration he sings of feels all too real when matched with the punchy beat of the music.

Watch Miraculous Ladybug on Netflix.
Ever wanted to watch a cartoon from a different country? Miraculous Ladybug is a French cartoon that was translated into English. The plot follows Ladybug, a superhero who appears whenever villains threaten Paris. Fighting next to her is Cat Noir, another superhero living in the city. Outside of their hero duties, Ladybug and Cat Noir are normal students trying to fit in with their peers and juggle their personal lives with hero’s work. If you like cheesy puns and bad pickup lines, this is the cartoon for you.

Watch Joseph, King of Dreams.
One of the few Christian films made by a secular animation company to be successful, this film has become a classic among Christian families. The story follows Joseph, son of Jacob, from being sold into slavery to saving all of Egypt from a famine. Not only does this animated film display a beautiful range of earth-toned colors, it also features songs that enhance the story and make the experience more meaningful.
