It was a busy week for student-athletes. Here’s what you may have missed:

Women’s Track and Field finished in first at the Danny Curran Invitational. First place finishes from Abby McMinn in the 100m hurdles, Esther Seeland in the 800m, Alyssa McMinn in the discus and Taylor Wiederrecht in the high jump propelled the Falcons to the first place finish.

Men’s Track and Field opened their season finishing in 12th place at the Danny Curran Invitational. Benjamin Schott broke the program record in the 5,000m with a time of 14:40:56.

Men’s Lacrosse opened the week with a 12-8 win over Lycoming. Hunter Bellows scored six goals in the win.

The men recorded another dominating win on Saturday defeating Alvernia 23-12. Dylan Gillisse and Garrett Amsbaugh combined for 11 goals.

Softball went 1-5 on the week, picking up a 4-2 win against York College. Pitcher Madelyn Yannetti pitched a complete game recording seven strikeouts.

Men’s Tennis fell to Juniata 7-2 on Wednesday. Alex Mantsevich and Bryson Boettger won their doubles match and Mantsevich also picked up a point in singles play.

The men closed out the weekend with a win over Alvernia with a score of 9-0. The pair of Jarod Snader and AJ Swanson defeated their opponent 8-0.

Women’s Tennis defeated both Juniata College (9-0) and Alvernia (7-2) during the week. In singles play, Kaitlyn Russell, Emily Wichert, Amanda Adams, Rebekah Adams and Rachel Marcroft all beat their opponents.

Women’s Lacrosse lost to the Catholic Cardinals on Wednesday 13-6. Goalie Amber Orner recorded a career-high 16 saves in the loss.

On Saturday, the Falcons lost to William Smith 9-5. Abby Howard, Mckenna Edwards, Natalie Hoff, Jamie Bishop and Makenzie Schnur all scored in the loss.

Men’s Volleyball fell to Stevenson University 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-17) Wednesday night. Matt Knab led the way with nine kills.

On Saturday the men lost to Alvernia 3-2 (20-25, 28-26, 16-25, 25-20, 15-13), but then bounced back to sweep Eastern University (25-21, 25-18, 25-19). Noah Shreiner led the way with 11 kills.

Baseball had a full week with matches against Hood College, Gettysburg, Dickinson and Lebanon Valley College. Going 1-5 on the week, their win came against Lebanon Valley College. Winning 15-4, Sam Stewart led the way with two runs, three hits and eight RBIs.
