Here’s what you may have missed while doing homework this week:

Men’s Lacrosse fell to Widener 18-16 on Wednesday night. Garrett Amsbaugh led the team with four goals in the loss.

The men bounced back on Saturday downing the Albright Lions 19-6. Beau McCarver earned his first victory of his career, stopping eight shots in the win.

Softball earned four wins this week. Two coming against Gettysburg College and two coming against Stevenson University. The two biggest wins came against Stevenson as the Falcons shut them out 5-0 and 8-0. The Falcons are now 13-15 on the season.

Men’s Track and Field competed in the Millersville Metrics on Saturday. Ryan Thurber ran the 800m with a time of 2:00.73, while Caleb Puleo ran a 23.52 in the 200m.

Women’s Track and Field also competed in the Millersville Metrics Saturday. Leanne Weaver, Maddison Landis and Ashlyn Stonge all qualified for the MAC’s in the 800m. Taylor Wiederrecht also won the high jump with a program record of 1.68m. 

Men’s Tennis beat Eastern University 8-1 on Tuesday. Galen Fitzkee, Alex Mantsevich, Bryson Boettger Jarod Snader, and Cody Fitzwater all defeated their opponents in singles play.

The men also defeated Arcadia University 5-4. In doubles play, the pairs of Galen Fitzkee and Andrew Bookman, along with AJ Swanson and Jarod Snader propelled the Falcons to victory over the Knights.

Women’s Tennis defeated Arcadia 8-1 over the weekend. The Falcons swept doubles play, winning 3-0. The women have now won three straight games.

Women’s Lacrosse defeated the Widener Pride on Wednesday. Annika Johnsen scored four goals.

The Falcons lost to Albright 12-11 on Saturday. The Falcons are now 2-1 in conference play.

Men’s Volleyball lost to Arcadia University in three sets (25-20, 25-16, 25-20) early in the week. Matt Knab led the way with eight kills, one block and one ace.

The Falcons claimed the third seed in the MAC tournament after sweeping Misericordia (25-21, 27-25, 27-25) and Elmira (25-14, 25-22, 25-12). In the win over Misericordia, Noah Shreiner led the way with nine kills and three blocks.

Baseball went 3-2 on the week after defeating Elizabethtown College (7-6), Franklin and Marshall College (11-9) and Alvernia University (9-5). The men are now 9-15 on the season.
